DRAFTS WITH MAKERZ - SEPTEMBER

An Antarctic Research Centre

What if the Convex Building were an isolated research centre in the heart of Antarctica?

For MAKERZ, I explored a different context for the building modelled by Daniel Pascoal, imagining it as a research facility surrounded by vast glaciers, extreme weather conditions and an almost otherworldly landscape.

The goal was to create two images that tell different moments of the same story. The first captures the building in the distance, emerging through the polar mist as researchers cross the frozen terrain. The second reveals a more intimate atmosphere at sunset, where warm light meets the cold blue landscape, bringing a sense of life and human presence to this remote environment.

Through composition, lighting and atmosphere, I wanted to explore the contrast between the fragility of human presence and the immensity of nature, transforming an architectural model into a place that feels both isolated and full of purpose.

Hope you enjoy,

God bless you.
